This policy explains what we collect when you visit keywordrankers.com, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how you can get it changed or deleted. If anything here is unclear, email nick@keywordrankers.com and we will explain it in plain language.

Who we are

Keyword Rankers is an SEO and content marketing agency led by Nihar Rathore (Nick). We decide how and why the information described below is used, which makes us the data controller for it.

What we collect

1. What you send us

When you fill in the contact form we receive your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, website address, the services you ticked, and your message. If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we hold whatever you choose to tell us. If you book a call, Calendly collects your name, email and chosen time.

2. Where your enquiry came from

Contact form submissions include the campaign details of your visit: any tracking tags in the link you clicked (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and similar), advertising click identifiers, the website that referred you, the first page you landed on, and how many pages you viewed. This tells us which marketing is worth continuing. It is stored in your browser and sent only when you submit the form.

3. How the site is used

With your consent, we measure how people use the site: pages viewed, time spent on sections, links and buttons clicked, how far down pages people scroll, text copied from a page, FAQ questions opened, form steps completed, page speed, and browser errors. Microsoft Clarity also records anonymised playback of mouse movement, clicks and scrolling, and builds heatmaps.

We never record what you type into form fields, and copy tracking ignores anything typed into a form. Clarity masks text content in recordings by default.

4. Technical information

Like every website, our hosting provider logs your IP address, browser, device type and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting. Analytics tools also process your approximate location (from your IP, usually only city level), device and browser.

5. Visit counter

The footer shows a running count of page views. It counts visits only. No personal information is stored in it and it cannot identify you.

Cookies and browser storage

Nothing except essential storage is set until you choose in the cookie banner.

Our own cookies (kr-consent, kr-first-touch, kr-last-touch, kr-pages, kr-visits-last) are stored for up to 12 months, after which they expire automatically even if you don’t clear them.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer, or by clearing your browser storage for this site. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we switch advertising storage off automatically.

Why we are allowed to use it

• Your consent, for analytics and advertising cookies. You can withdraw it at any time.
• Steps taken at your request before a contract, when we reply to your enquiry or prepare a proposal.
• Our legitimate interests, in keeping the site secure, preventing spam, and understanding which pages help people so we can improve them.
• Legal obligations, where we must keep records, for example for tax.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do use these service providers:

• Google (Analytics and Tag Manager), for measurement
• Microsoft (Clarity), for recordings and heatmaps
• Hostinger, our hosting and email provider
• Calendly, if you book a call
• WhatsApp (Meta), if you message us there

These providers operate internationally, so your information may be processed outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards those companies publish. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries: for as long as we are in contact and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back to us.
• Google Analytics: 14 months, then deleted automatically.
• Microsoft Clarity: kept by Microsoft under its own retention schedule.
• Your cookie choice and campaign details: in your browser until you clear them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, limit what we do with it, send it to you in a portable form, or stop using it for a particular purpose. You can also withdraw consent at any time. We do not charge for this, and we will reply within 30 days.

If you are a California resident, the rights above cover what CCPA and CPRA entitle you to, including knowing what we collect and opting out of its sale or sharing. As stated above, we do not sell your information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of today, but you’re welcome to confirm that with us directly at any time.

Governing law

This policy, and our handling of your information, is governed by the laws of India, where Keyword Rankers is based and registered. If you are located elsewhere, local data protection law may also give you additional rights, and nothing here limits those.

Security and children

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to enquiry emails is limited to people who need it. No website can promise perfect security, but we take it seriously. This site is meant for businesses and is not directed at children.

Changes

If we add a new tool or change how we use information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be reflected in the cookie banner, so you can make a fresh choice.
